Akasha Artisan Bakery came about from the wish to provide health-conscious and locally produced nutritious snacks.

We produce additive free and delicious bread and pastries for both businesses and consumers. We carefully select the ingredients, ensure good quality and produce everything in Suntakhan, Gokarneshwor.

As a part of the social business Akasha Life, the profits of the bakery are used to sustainably finance the education, environmental protection and health promotion projects of Akasha Academy NGO.

Our recipes and artisan traditions originate from different parts of the world. According to German tradition, our bread and baguettes are produced with long leavening times for a more nuanced flavor and better digestibility. Our ingredients include jaggery as an alternative sweetener and spices like ginger, turmeric and cinnamon that enhance digestion and offer health benefits.

Providing career opportunities and promoting a healthy and sustainable life

We support a local production and consumption and carefully select our ingredients accordingly to promote the regional agriculture. Artisan Bakery offers employment, especially to support the local youth. Being a social business, we also promote a balanced diet for children by bringing a part of our products as nutritious snacks to schools. Along with educational workshops on nutrition, this promotes a healthy development of the children.
